OIA Staff Participating in the 13th University Administrators Workshop on March 7-8, 2018 at National Taiwan University
On March 7th – 8th, 2018, National Taiwan University hosted the 13th University Administrators Workshop (UAW), under the main theme “Fostering Sustainable Talent Systems for University Administrators Responsible for International/Global Activities and Strategies”, which attracted over 100 participants from 26 institutions across 12 countries. Chulalongkorn University was represented by Director, EBA, Faculty of Economics and two staff members from the Office of International Affairs and Global Network.
The 13th UAW addressed the following sub-themes, respectively,
“O” for Originality Employment and promotion systems of administrators responsible for international/global activities and strategies.
“I” for Infinity Practices of office/team knowledge management for international/global activities and strategies. This session featured a presentation by Ms. Noppamon Chiemsuk on the topic of “The Challenge of database management: Global Partnership Engagement System”.
“A” for Affinity Practices of on-job competency for career advancements of administrators responsible for international/global activities and strategies.
This session featured a presentation by Ms. Thomya Wongcharoen and
Ms. Meenaphat Krichtongpan on the topic of “On-job competency: Chulalongkorn University’s Staff Retention and Advancement“.
The UAW was initiated by Kyoto University. Later, joined Kyoto University as UAW core universities, Chulalongkorn University and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. The UAW offered a platform where the university staff responsible for international activities can meet, network, and share ideas about issues relating to university internationalization and potentially explores solutions.
