(30/08/2018) Chula and the University of Iowa Plan to Expand Academic Collaborations

Professor Kiat Ruxrungtham, M.D. (third from left), Vice President for Research and Innovation, Assistant Professor Pomthong Malakul Na Ayudhaya, Ph.D. (third from right), Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Suthira Taychakhoonavudh (second from right), Associate Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, welcome Professor Emeritus Bernard Sorofman (center) from the College of Pharmacy, the University of Iowa, USA, to explore the potential for expanding academic collaborations between Chulalongkorn University and the University of Iowa. The primary focus of this meeting includes the plans to launch exchange programmes for students and faculty members; joint research collaborations in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and sustainable development; and potential collaborations with other Faculties apart from the current partnership with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Upon this visit, Dr. Sorofman also attends the CU Study Abroad Fair 2018 at the Sala Phra Kieo, to help provide information about continuing education and scholarships at the University of Iowa to Chula students and interested people.
