Biography:

Mr. Awng Cham Mon, a Mon man, is graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Forestry and Environmental Science. Currently, he is studying for a Master’s Degree with a specialization in Human Rights and Democratization at Mahidol University. As a forester, he worked for forest management and environmental related issues for more than 3 years. he has been working for community development and advocating for the right on people’s participation in resources management. Now, He is doing a thesis on analyzing the right to participation of forest people in forest management in Mon State.
