Ms. Phan Khanh Ha 

Doctoral Researcher in the International Development Studies Ph.D. Program (GRID), Chulalongkorn University

Biography:

Ha is a Doctoral Researcher in the International Development Studies Ph.D. Program (GRID) at Chulalongkorn University. Her research interests lie in the study of International Development Politics, with a focus on South-South cooperation and how it affects countries in Southeast Asia both as aid recipients and donors. In 2020, as a researcher of the International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF) Global, she co-wrote UNDP Business Integrity Toolkit for Young Entrepreneurs to promote a fair business environment in ASEAN. Ha’s Ph.D. has been funded by the Chulalongkorn University Graduate Scholarship Program for ASEAN and Non-ASEAN Countries.

In addition to her research, Ha has actively engaged with young Vietnamese and local media on building a global citizen mindset and capacities for Vietnamese youths. Her commentary has been quoted in several national and local newspapers and broadcasts. Ha has participated in various public diplomacy programs as a national representative, including The 42nd Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program, the 2015 ASEAN Youth Forum within the framework of Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition, The 2014 Korea Government Invitation Program for University Students from Major Partner Countries.

Ha has a wide range of working experience. She had been a Lecturer in International Relations and English for International Relations and Journalism at the Academy of Journalism and Communication (Vietnam) for seven years. She also had experience working at IBLF Global (UK), Vietnam’s Ministry of Planning and Investment, The People’s Army Newspapers, Dan Tri Online Newspaper, and CBRE Vietnam.Prior to starting her Ph.D., Ha completed an MA in International Relations at the University of Nottingham and a BA in International Relations at the Academy of Journalism and Communication. She was an awardee of the FCDO Chevening Scholarship (UK), given in recognition of her professional achievements and leadership capabilities.
