Ms. Resham Badri
International Development Studies, Chulalongkorn University
Biography:
An architect, possessing 8 years of diverse work experience; ranging from conventional to development architecture. Owing to my urge to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the marginalized communities, who are often neglected by professionals, I intentionally moved towards channelizing my core competencies in the development sector. The drive to address gaps in systemic service deliveries and ensure its accessibility and equal distribution, led me to work with a Civil Society Organization.
I have worked at the grass root and advocacy levels, bearing a multi-stakeholder, inclusive and holistic approach to conceptualize, analyze, design and implement strategies to ensure better service provision for the urban poor and policy implementation. Based on my gathered understanding of ground realities, I have been indulging in planning meaningful interventions leveraging data analysis, community participation, research and documentation.
Rising above local borders, I am currently undertaking the Masters’ program in International Development Studies at the Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand to broaden my horizon and perspectives around multi and trans-disciplinary approaches towards development. Allowing me to think through global and regional responses to complex challenges, I am determined to advance public policies at the nexus of socio-economic, environmental, and political dimensions to ensure inclusive, equitable, just and sustainable cities.
