Prof. Dr. Bundhit Eua-arporn
President, Chulalongkorn University
Biography:
Professor Dr. Bundhit Eua-arporn began his second term as President of Chulalongkorn University in May 2020. At present, he also serves as Chairperson and President of the Council of University Presidents of Thailand. At an international level, he is a member of the APRU Steering Committee, and the first Executive President of the Asian Universities Alliance (AUA).
In his capacity as President of Chulalongkorn University, he is a pioneer in education innovation, setting up Chulalongkorn University’s Innovation Hub, Chula MOOCs and the School of Integrated Innovation, which offers the first Bachelor’s Degree program that combines both Arts and Science. He is also the founder of Siam Innovation District, an innovation system in downtown of Bangkok, Thailand.
His research interest focuses on electric power system operation, control, and planning. He has been involved with many energy supply development projects both for government and private sectors.
