Biography:
Prof. Dr. Narin Hiransuthikul is a professor in Preventive and Social Medcine as well as currently hold a position at Chulalongkorn University as a Vice President for Strategic Monitoring and Assessment, Planning, Budgeting and Well-being at Faculty of Medicine. Prof. Dr. Narin graduated 2nd Class Honor in Medical Science at Chulalongkorn University in 1976 and he did his Board of Internal Medicine in 1987 as well as have MPH degree at Mahidol University in Public Health. In 1994, he did his Board of Preventive medicine in the field of study of Clinical Preventive Medicine at Srinakarinwirot University, Bangkok, Thailand and continued his Sub-board of Infectious Disease Degree at Chulalongkorn Univeristy and completed his Ph.D at Johns Hopking Univeristy with the specialist field in Epidemology. Prof. Dr. Narin received Ajariyamid Award for the Excellence in Teaching, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University in 2010 and the following year he received another award in Thailand Clinical Preventive Medicine Excellence Award, the Preventive Medicine Association of Thailand, 2011.
Moreover, in 2013 he received Thailand Epidemiology Excellence Award, the Preventive Medicine Association of Thailand and his field of interest are in the area of Infectious disease epidemiology, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, tropical infectious disease, nosocomial infection, experimental epidemiology, preventive medicine, community medicine, university engagement and sustainable university.
