Participation in the VIVA Technology 2023

The 7th Europe’s #1 Startup and Tech event, where business meets innovation

From June 14^th-17^th, 2023, Chulalongkorn University, represented by the Global Research and Innovation Promotion (GRIP) and the Chula Club Spin-off, participated in the VIVA Technology 2023 at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, France. The delegation consisted of:

• Assoc. Prof. Jittima Luckanagul, Ph.D
  Associate Dean for Global Engagement and International Affairs, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Founder of Nabsolute Co. Ltd. and President of Chula Club Spin-off;
• Prof. Anongnat Somwangthanaroj, Ph.D
  Associate Dean for Research Affairs, Faculty of Engineering and Director, Corporate Affairs AZinc;
• Prof. Supason Wanichwecharungruang, Ph.D
  Lecturer, Faculty of Science and Founder of Mineed Technology Co., Ltd.; and
• Pattharaporn Suntharasaj, Ph.D
  Director, Division of Global Research and Innovation Promotion, Office of International Affairs and Global Network.

The VIVA Technology is the Europe’s biggest startup and tech event that aims to accelerate innovation through connecting startups, tech leaders, major corporations and investors responding to our world’s biggest challenges. There were participants from 174 countries in this event which featured world-exclusive innovations with 11,400 startups, 2,800 exhibitors, and 405,000 online visitors.

At the VivaTech 2023, the Chula Startup delegation with the support from the Science Higher Education of Cultural and Scientific Service, the Embassy of France in Thailand, the Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce (FTCC) and the Techsauce presented the following major activities:

• Exhibiting a Chula Startup by Mineed Technology Co. Ltd. booth,
• Pitching at the Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH) Startup, represented by Dr. Jittima from Nabsolute Co. Ltd. and Dr. Supason from Mineed Technology Co. Ltd.,
• Pitching with the Global La Roche-Posay Medical Director, Mr. François de Cormis, represented by Dr. Supason from Mineed Technology Co. Ltd. and Dr. Jittima from Nabsolute Co. Ltd.,
• Discussing with Sanofi France about the opportunity to collaborate for a new research and innovation project by Mineed Technology Co. Ltd.,
• Discussing with other startups for potential research and innovation collaborations and finding new business opportunities, and
• Participating in the VivaTech 2023 special talk, such as “A Conversation with Elon Musk”.

Besides the VivaTech 2023, the Chula delegation, led byDr. Pattharaporn, were invited to meet and visit

• the Business France, a French Government agency responsible for fostering export growth by French businesses, facilitating international investment in France, on June 15^th, 2023.
• the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) Paris Office at the Royal Thai Embassy in France welcomed by Minister Boonyarit Vichienpuntu, on June 16^th, 2023. This meeting aimed to discuss the opportunity for a Thai Startup to launch their business in France and to learn rules and regulations required by the French government.
