GRIP’s Online Seminar, “Opportunity is in the air! Global Research Funding”
On Thursday, March 31, 2022, the Division of Global Research and Innovation Promotion (GRIP) of the Office of International Affairs and Global Network (OIA), which is responsible for supporting the University’s international research and innovation collaboration with its international strategic partners, organized an online seminar, “Opportunity is in the air! Global Research Funding”.
The aim of this seminar is to introduce the Chula’s Dashboard of International Funded Project & Future International Funding Opportunity to Chula academic staff which include lecturers and researchers as well as interested people.
The event started with a welcoming address by Dr. Ram Piyaket, Director of the OIA.
On this occasion, Dr. Patt Suntharasaj, Director of the GRIP, introduced GRIP, which is in charge of promoting international research and innovation collaboration and the visibility of Chulalongkorn University through the three main functions: Global Research and Innovation Initiative, Global Research and Innovation Promotion, and International Funding Opportunity, by building an ecosystem of Chula’s International Research & Innovation Promotion through the three main mechanisms: “Inform, Advise, and Connect”. Dr. Patt also provided the information about Chula’s Dashboard of International Funded Project & Future International Funding Opportunity and introduced the interesting funding opportunity database platform, Sponsored Programs Information Network (SPIN).
Dr. Tanasak Kaewsomboon and Dr. Keerati Siriyan, the specialists of the GRIP, presented the information on international funding opportunities and opening calls in Europe & Oceania and Asia & North America, respectively. The sessions also included demonstrations on how to search funding opportunities on the website.
Finally, the seminar was concluded with a Q&A session which allows the participants to ask questions relating to global research funding and the services provided by the GRIP.
