The 1st AUAP Youth Development Programme (YDP)
The Secretariat would like to remind you that the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) in cooperation with the Master’s Institute Development Academic and Seminary (MIDAS) will organize the 1st AUAP Youth Development Programme (YDP) to be held in Bangkok, Chonburi, and Pattaya City, Thailand, on November 20-23, 2022.Â
This annual program targets students who are interested to see their personal growth in an inclusive environment. In addition, they will observe how student development can impact global issues and global changes.
Students will learn the principles of how to promote healthy development (youth, mentoring, mindset, building strength, and self-confidence). Lectures and discussions will be conducted in English and also cover topics such as cultural diversity, intercultural communication, and key problems in global communities.
This program will also feature a variety of outdoor activities, to engage student leaders in student development projects, and provide the opportunity to experience the uniqueness of Thai culture. Activities will also include an introduction to Thai boxing and dancing, bed making, a cooking contest, volunteering, a group presentation, and field trips.
The registration deadline to participate in the 1st AUAP-YDP is fast approaching, therefore, we encourage you to nominate students and faculty who are active, sincere, and responsible for this programme. Since the seats are limited, our selection process is based on a first-come-first-served basis. The deadline is on July 31, 2022.
