[Invitation] ProVeg Food Innovation Challenge APAC 2022
The ProVeg Food Innovation Challenge is hosted online and it allows students to gain valuable insight into an exciting and fast-growing industry, while channeling their creativity and skills towards solving some of the biggest challenges facing the world today.
ProVeg is the largest European nonprofit organization focusing on plant-based and cell-based food innovation to transform the global food system. ProVeg has permanent observer status with the UNFCCC, special consultative status with ECOSOC, is accredited for UNEA and has received the United Nations’ Momentum for Change Award.
This is the third year in a row that ProVeg is hosting this challenge and they are collaborating with leading food & beverage companies including Unilever, Beyond Meat, Oatly, PepsiCo, CPF, Omni and Haofood. Last year’s Food Innovation Challenge focusing on Southeast Asia won the “best use of digital by a charity, NGO or NFP” award at the Digital Impact Awards!
This year they have doubled the cash awards (to 10,000 USD), arranged for a series of Innovation Training Webinars (next one is 5 October, free and open to all!) with industry experts to inspire and equip participants and prepared many exciting opportunities for finalists, including presenting their ideas in November at this year’s UN Climate Change Conference – COP27 – Food4Climate Pavilion hosted by ProVeg International.
