[Call for Participants] A New Joint Program: Under the Starry Sky – Youth Action for SDGs
The World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), an NGO that represents and coordinates a membership of over 100 national United Nations Associations (UNAs), partnered with the Norwegian bank SpareBank 1 SMN to launch a new joint program: Under the Starry Sky – Youth Action for SDGs. SpareBank 1 SMN is the leading financial group in Central Norway and is committed to promoting sustainability and social responsibility on a local, national, and global level, following the UN’s principles for sustainability.
Under the Starry Sky is a nine-month program that provides a unique opportunity for young people to receive in-depth training on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and project management before implementing their own project, with the supervision and guidance from WFUNA. The program will culminate in a multi-day ship expedition in Norway in September 2023, where participants will have the chance to showcase their projects to local businesses and youth. A certificate of completion will be provided to participants at the end of the program.
The program is free of charge, and all costs (including travel, accommodation, and food) are fully covered.
Applications are open to Norwegian and international youth aged 18-25, and must be made in groups of four by December 31, 2022.
As this program may offer an exclusive opportunity for Chula students to advance the SDGs through their own projects, the program details and application form available on the website: https://wfuna.org/under-the-starry-sky.
