Meeting with the Representatives of Osaka University
On November 22nd, 2022, Professor Kaywalee Chatdarong, DVM, Ph.D., Vice President for Strategic Planning, Innovation and Global Engagement, the representatives of the Faculty of Science, and Dr. Ram Piyaket, Director of the Office of International Affairs and Global Network, met with the representatives of Osaka University – Prof. Genta Kawahara, Ph.D., Executive Vice President, Prof. Kiyoshi Fujita, Ph.D, Senior Advisor to the President, Prof. Yoshinori Sumimura, Ph.D., Officer at the Center for Global Initiatives, Assoc. Prof. Manami Fujihira, Ph.D., Specially Appointed Associate Professor, Center for Japanese Language and Culture, and Mr. Toshihiko Tsuji, Assistant Head of the Department of International Affairs.
At the meeting, the Executive Vice President of Osaka University proposed that Chula and Osaka University co-establish a Joint Campus Education Program by launching the collaboration with the Faculty of Science due to their strong research collaboration. Both sides will discuss the details of the Program in their next meeting.
Apart from the Joint Campus Education Program, the participants presented the information about their Faculty, Centers and Departments. The representatives of the Faculty of Science introduced the courses they offered, their student and staff exchange program, and scholarships while the representatives of Osaka University informed the meeting about the International Certificate Program as well as the activities on SDGs, such as SDGs Virtual Student Exchange, and Intensive Online SDGs Courses.
