2023 Chula Joint Summer Camp – Connecting Asia for a Sustainable Future, the All-in-One Summer Camp in Thailand, Hong Kong, and Japan

Chulalongkorn University is delighted to invite students to 2023 Chula Joint Summer Camp – Connecting Asia for a Sustainable Future, the All-in-One Summer Camp in Thailand, Hong Kong, and Japan on July 16-August 6, 2023 (three weeks).

The Joint Summer Camp will offer a unique opportunity to obtain hands-on learning experience at three esteemed higher institutions – Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, The University of Hong Kong in Hong Kong, and Hokkaido University, Japan. 

The Camp will provide an understanding foundation and overview of various issues related to sustainability, especially in the fields of Industry 4.0, Sustainability and Circular Economy, and One Health. Additionally, students participating in the camp will have a chance to develop their willingness to communicate with other students with diverse national and cultural backgrounds and discuss how to tackle issues related to sustainability.

Camp Period:

  • First week at Chulalongkorn University: July 17 – 21, 2023
  • Second week at The University of Hong Kong: July 24 – 28, 2023
  • Third week at Hokkaido University: July 31 – August 4, 2023

Program Fee: US$3,600 

* Program fee includes tuition, accommodation, lunch during the coursework period, course work materials, field trips, welcome kit, transportation fee from airport to accommodation for those who take recommended flights. 

** Flights are not included in the program fee. Applicants must arrange their own travel arrangements from/to home country and between host universities. 

*** The program is subject to cancellation if there are not enough applicants. In the event of cancellation, all applicants will receive a full refund of any fees paid.

Discounts:

1. Early bird discounts:
10% discount will be applied to the program fee (US$3,600) for applicants who submitted pre-application form by 12pm, March 15, 2023, and formal application form by 5pm, March15, 2023 (both in Japan Standard Time).

2. Early bird discounts + Chula/HKU/HU discounts:
15% discount will be applied to the program fee (US$3,600) for applicants from Chula, HKU and HU who submitted pre-application form by 12pm, March 15, 2023, and formal application form by 5pm, March 15, 2023 (both in Japan Standard Time).

3. Chula/HKU/HU discounts for regular application period:
10% discount will be applied to the program fee (US$3,600) for applications from Chula, HKU and HU who submitted pre-application form by 12pm April 13, 2023, and formal application form by 5pm, April 13, 2023 (both in Japan Standard Time).
