An Official Visit to Chulalongkorn University by the Ambassador of Italy to Thailand
On May 9th, 2023, President Bundhit Eua-arporn; Associate Professor Voraprapa Nakavachara, Ph.D., Assistant Vice President for Global Engagement; Associate Professor Neungreudee Lohapon (Ph.D.), Head of the Italian Section, the Faculty of Arts; and Dr. Ram Piyaket, Director of the Office of International Affairs and Global Network, welcomed H.E. Ambassador Paolo Dionisi of the Republic of Italy to Thailand, Ms. Francesca Blasone, Deputy Head of Mission and Ms. Somsri Pobpipugtra, Cultural Officer, at the Reception Room, 2nd Floor, Chamchuri 4 Building.
The meeting provided the opportunity to both parties to explore ways to promote student mobility between Chulalongkorn University and universities in Italy, as well as possible collaborations in research, focusing on food safety, food and well-being, medicine, engineering, and technology development. On this occasion, the Ambassador extended an invitation to the President to attend a concert performed by Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra, to be held in June to celebrate the Italian National Day and the 155th Anniversary of Thai-Italian Diplomatic Relations.
