GCSP Prize for Innovation in Global Security
Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) and its Geopolitics and Global Futures Programme are now open for applications for the 2023 GCSP Prize for Innovation in Global Security.
Esteemed judges, comprising renowned practitioners from international organizations, governments, and the private sector, will carefully evaluate submissions based on the following criteria:
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainable global security
- Upholding human dignity, security, and justice
- Displaying creativity and originality
The first-place winner will receive a prize of CHF 10,000 along with a certificate of excellence, while the two other finalists will be presented with certificates of recognition. The winners, ranked first, second, and third, will be publicly announced during our annual online event scheduled for November 2023.Â
This prestigious prize not only offers financial support for projects but also serves as a platform for international recognition of participants’ work. Aligned with the Centre’s Creativity and Innovation Initiative, it aims to inspire forward-thinking and inventive approaches to address present-day global security challenges.
Applications are welcome from all countries, provided that the projects extend beyond national borders in scope or concept and seek to tackle global security issues in innovative ways. A wide range of projects may qualify for consideration, including technological and conceptual innovations, original research, or grassroots initiatives.
