A Talk by Chulalongkorn University Vice President at the 12th ASIAN Universities Forum (AUF)
From July 18-19, 2023, Professor Chakkaphan Sutthirat, Ph.D., Vice President for Research Affairs, and Associate Professor Voraprapa Nakavachara, Ph.D., Assistant Vice President for GlobalEngagement, participated in the 12th ASIAN Universities Forum (AUF) at Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City which was co-hosted by Seoul National University and Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. The AUF brought together 22 member universities from the Asia-Pacific region.
The event was held under the theme of “Embracing the Future of AI and Its Uncertainly: a Regional Focus” which aimed to foster a stimulating environment for leading experts and practitioners to engage in discussions about the opportunities and challenges by AI in the Asia-Pacific context. Through insightful talks and interactive sessions, researchers, experts, and participants could adopt a proactive and collaborative approach to AI, embracing its potential while addressing its uncertainties and challenges.
At the Forum, Vice President Chakkaphan gave presentations together with the representatives of the AUF member universities; namely, the Vice President of Nanjing University, the Vice President of VNUHCM-University of Science, the Vice President of Vietnam National University Hanoi, a Professor in the School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, who is also the Director of Air Traffic Management Research Institute of Nanyang Technological University, and a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Seoul National University.
