MRC Global Funding for Rubber Innovation – Invitation to Roadshow in Central Malaysia

MRC is an agency under the Ministry of Plantation and Commodities (MPC) of Malaysia. Its main function is to promote quality Malaysian rubber and rubber products in world markets. 

As part of its efforts to promote investments in high-value products and technologies within the rubber and rubber products industry, MRC has established the MRC Global Funding for Rubber Innovation (GFRI) to seed innovative inter-disciplinary non-fundamental research with good commercial viability. The Fund is open to all researchers globally and can be applied throughout the year.

MRC is organizing the GFRI Roadshow in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which will serve as a meeting point for the exchange of information between the rubber industry players and researchers to identify research areas for funding opportunities. The roadshow activities include briefings on the overview of the rubber industry (by sectors) including its issues and challenges faced by the industry. 

The roadshow is part of the ongoing effort to promote the GFRI programme that was launched on 7 June 2022, with the potential to promote investments in high-value products and technologies within the rubber industry.
