2023 OPPO Inspiration Challenge Demo Event
On August 7th, 2023, OPPO, a leading global technology brand, hosted the 2023 OPPO Inspiration Challenge Regional Demo Event at the Chaloem Rajakumari 60 Building, Chulalongkorn University. The event was the venue where fifteen participating projects presented their ideas to the judging panel. The top 5 teams will be advanced to the Global Final Demo Event which is scheduled to take place in Singapore later this year. The winners will receive a $50,000 USD support fund, potential investment and additional incubation support from OPPO and its partners to further develop and implement their innovations and ideas in real life.
The following were the five winning projects:
- ERTIGO: An online rehabilitation program designed to prevent muscle and chronic pain, developed by Benew Tech from Thailand;
- EZSpeech: A software that assists individuals with speech abnormalities to improve their speech without the need for ongoing therapy, developed by Mila4AI Inc. from Uzbekistan;
- Impulse: A non-invasive hearing aid device, developed by Backyard Creators Private Limited from India;
- Precision Psychiatry at Scale – AmDTx: A digital treatment platform powered by AI that provides centralized mental health-related data, developed by Mobio Interactive from Singapore;
- Flint Paper Battery: A sustainable and safe energy storage solution for lithium-ion batteries, developedby Flint from Singapore.
Flint Paper Battery and Impulse were selected for the Medical Choice Award.
Professor Kaywalee Chatdarong, Ph.D., Vice President for Strategic Planning, Innovation and Global Engagement, expressed gratitude to the participants, judges and OPPO for making this event a success. In her closing remarks, she emphasized, “This partnership highlights our commitment to the engagement to the industrial sector that should, in turn, enable Chula students to have real world experiences. Together, we envision a future full of possibilities and innovations for our nations and the global society.”
