[Call for Applications] Scholarships for Graduate Study at the University of Hawaii
The East-West Center offers scholarships for graduate study at the University of Hawai‘i. EWC scholarships include a dynamic residential experience with innovative programming to develop the leadership skills and regional literacy needed to address today’s complex global challenges. Across all of our scholarship and affiliation programs, we currently have 300+ students from over 40 countries, 20 U.S. states, and 80 academic disciplines.
EWC is currently recruiting for:
- EWC Graduate Degree Fellowship: Two years of funding for masters or PhD study in any academic field at the University of Hawai‘i for candidates with academic excellence, leadership potential and a commitment to positive change in the Indo Pacific region. RT airfare not included but additional need-based scholarship funds are available to help cover these costs. Funded by EWC.

Students are eligible for the ADB-JSP scholarship. Next competition will be in Fall 2024!
- Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship Program (held every 2 years; next competition in 2024): Full funding including RT airfare for master’s degree study in select fields for young professionals committed to regional development. Funded by ADB and the Government of Japan. Flier
