Ernst Mach-Grant – ASEA-UNINET: Postdoc Grant (Call 2025/26)

The OeAD, Austria’s Agency for Education and Internationalisation, in cooperation with ASEA-UNINET, has announced the Ernst Mach-Grant – ASEA-UNINET Scholarship Call 2025/26 to support the exchange of knowledge between ASEA-UNINET member universities in Austria and South-East Asia. In this context, the grant offers scholarships for postdoc research stay in Austria to researchers from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Funding Agencies: OeAD-GmbH in cooperation with ASEA-UNINET (on behalf of and financed by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research – BMBWF)

Deadline: 1st March 2025

Fund:

  • Monthly grant rate: 1,300 euros
  • A travel cost subsidy of max. 1,000 euros

Duration: 4-9 months

Eligibility:

Applicant must:

  • be a Postdoc who is involved in teaching and research at an ASEA-UNINET member university in eligible countries.
  • hold the citizenship of one of the eligible countries.
  • be 45 years old maximum at the time of application.
  • not have studied/conducted research/pursued academic work in Austria in the last 6 months before taking up the grant.
  • have a very good knowledge of English and/or German.
