ASEAN STUDENT MOBILITY PROGRAMME
IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE ASEAN UNIVERSITIES EXHIBITION AND FORUM 2025 (AEF2025)

Online Program: 11-17 February 2025
Face-to-Face Program: 19-25 February 2025
Location: Kuala Lumpur & Host Universities Across Malaysia
The ASEAN Student Mobility Programme, in conjunction with the ASEAN Universities Exhibition and Forum 2025 (AEF2025), is a hybrid event that gathers students and industry leaders across ASEAN. Designed to foster innovation, leadership, and collaboration, the program aims to address regional challenges and advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through impactful activities and meaningful exchange.

- Inspiring speeches by students tackling ASEAN challenges and SDGs.
- ASEAN Future Innovators Challenge
- Collaborative solutions and creative ideas addressing real-world ASEAN issues.
- Exhibition and Forum
- Discussions with ASEAN leaders and industry experts
- Familiarization Visit
- Visit and engage with Malaysia’s local universities.
CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS
Are you ready to be a part of the future of ASEAN? Students from ASEAN universities are invited to represent their institutions in the AEF2025 ASEAN Student Mobility Programme.

Eligibility
- Undergraduate or postgraduate student at an ASEAN university.
- Demonstrated interest in leadership, innovation, or SDGs.
- Proficient in English and committed to the hybrid program.
Your Role as a Participant
- Young Speaker Contest: Deliver a speech on one of these themes:
1) Empowering ASEAN Youth: Leadership for a Sustainable Future (SDG 4, SDG 8)
2) Strengthening ASEAN Partnerships: Collaboration for Inclusive Development (SDG 17, SDG 10)
3) ASEAN Climate Action: Pathways to Sustainability and Resilience (SDG 13, SDG 12) - ASEAN Future Innovators Challenge: Work with other ASEAN students within the host universities to develop creative solutions and present a 3-minute project video.
How to Apply
- Contact the university’s International Office for nomination.
- Each university can nominate:
- 1 participant in the ASEAN Young Speaker Contest.
- 2 participants in the ASEAN Future Innovators Challenge.
- Pay a commitment fee of USD 50/participant.
- Successful candidates will be notified through email by 19 January 2025.
