Chulalongkorn University Delegation Visiting the University of Tokyo

On Monday, 10th March 2025, the delegation of Chulalongkorn University (Chula), led by President Wilert Puriwat, visited the University of Tokyo (UTokyo) to explore the possibility in expanding and strengthening their academic and research collaborations, as well as to learn more about the University of Tokyo Sustainable Campus Projects (TSCP).
The delegation was welcomed by UTokyo’s representatives, consisting of (1) Prof. Teruo FUJII, Ph.D., President; (2) Prof. Kaori HAYASHI, Ph.D., Executive Vice President; (3) Prof. Tatsuya OKUBO, Ph.D., GX Promotion Subcommittee, Green Transformation (GX), UTokyo Compass Initiative (UCI); and (4) Prof. Yuto KITAMURA, Ph.D., Special Assistant to the President.
The Chula delegates consisted of (1) Prof. Wilert Puriwat, D.Phil., President; (2) Assoc. Prof. Palanee Ammaranond, Ph.D., Vice President; (3) Prof. Pranut Potiyaraj, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Science; (4) Assoc. Prof. Witaya Wannasuphoprasit, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; and (5) Prof. Pramoch Rangsunvigit, Ph.D., Dean of the Petroleum and Petrochemical College.
After the meeting of the administrators of the two universities in the morning, UTokyo graciously took the Chula delegates on a campus tour, including the places related to the University of Tokyo Forests, and Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction under the TSCP.
UTokyo is part of a three-day plan (March 10th – 12th) of the Chula delegation’s visit to its partner institutions in Tokyo (namely the University of Tokyo, and AGC Group) and Nagoya (i.e. Toyota Technological Institute), Japan.
