How to succeed in the NIH Grant Application: Lesson Learned and Knowledge Shared

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is a state-owned organization of the United States (U.S.) government accountable for biomedical and public health research. The missions of the NIH are to search forelemental knowledge about the nature and behavior of living systems and to apply that knowledge toimproving health, prolonging life, and decreasing sicknesses and disabilities.
The NIH consists of 27 Institutes and Centers supporting basic research, translational research and clinical research. Researchers and scientists who are eligible to apply for its research funding are not only from within the U.S. but also from all around the world including Thailand.
Up to the present, with our ambitious and prestigious research projects, Thailand has received the NIH grant at $135 M. In this respect, Chulalongkorn University has played a significant role in obtaining at least $24 M from this grant.
Chulalongkorn University, researchers and instructors who are interested in applying for the NIH research grant are cordially invited to an online event (virtual conference via Zoom) on March 30th, 2021 from8.30 – 11.30 hrs. (BKK Time) so as to learn more about the NIH grant application.
This event aims to present the research funding opportunities provided by the NIH and to encourage Chula people to apply. The invited speaker has her first-hand experience in the NIH grant applications. Participants will learn how to successfully apply for the NIH funding, including proposal writing tips and tricks,and other related experiences.
Who can join?
This event is open to researchers and instructors of Chulalongkorn University who are interested in applying for the NIH research grant in the future.
