Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) 2021

GEN Thailand has officially launched the Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) 2021. This is the world’s largest entrepreneurship competition with a US$1 million cash prize and hundred of missions in-kind services for participants. Last year 180K competitors from 200 counties applied.

This year’s competition will expand across the region to include representatives from Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, and Indonesia; with the winner moving onto the EWC Global 100 stage and receiving a $100k in-kind package from EWC Global.

The competition’s theme this year will be sustainability and will include startups that demonstrate a meaningful and measurable approach to advance sustainable development.

EWC is calling for startups in the following industries:

  • Biosphere: (Environmental & Climate, Energy, Circular Economy, Agtech, Foodtech)
  • Inclusive Society: (Health & Medical Tech, Financial Inclusion, Inclusion & Diversity, Education)
  • Growing Economy: (Economic Mobility, Smart Cities, Deeptech, IoT, Advanced Manufacturing)
