Calling on Thai Youth aged 15-30 to Propose Transformative Innovation for Climate Change

UNDP’s People’s Climate Vote, the world’s biggest ever survey of public opinion on climate change conducted in over 50 countries revealed that 60% of the Thai population including youth, think of climate change as a global emergency. Following this survey, the Youth-led Climate Action’ project was created to enable youth to explore the possibilities for transforming climate action utilizing a transformative change,’ process identified by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change to achieve Goal 13 on Climate Action under the Sustainable Development Goals.
Following a competitive selective process, three finalist teams will be selected to join a capacity building workshop to develop their transformative solutions and submit the workplan to receive 30,000 THB to implement their projects for a duration of three months from September to November 2021.
By the end of the project, youth-led reports for climate action will be disseminated through storytelling sessions to inspire climate action among their peers and the public.
