The Online Seminar on “Horizon Europe”
The European Commission announced the official launch of “Horizon Europe” in February 2021. The Horizon Europe programme is a new European Union (EU) research and innovation framework programme with the largest budget of approximately € 95.5 billion to spend from 2021-2027. The programme is a successor to the recent EU funding programme, Horizon 2020. The goals of the Horizon Europe programme are to strengthen the impact of research and innovation on developing and supporting EU policies and to tackle global challenges by funding research and innovation projects to create excellent knowledge in any field of research. Moreover, the programme also aims to achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and boosts the EU’s competitiveness and growth.
The first set of calls for proposals was published through the Funding & Tender’s Portal in June 2021. Most of the Horizon Europe calls are open to participants from non-associated non-EU countries (third countries), including Thailand, unless specific limitations or conditions are laid down in the call text.
Chulalongkorn University will host an online seminar on “Horizon Europe” on August 11th, 2021 from 14.00-16.00 hrs. (Bangkok Time) via Zoom. If you are a Chula researcher or our research partners who would like to know and understand more about the Horizon Europe programme, please join this event!
