Survival Box (Klong Rod Tai), Thailand’s Sustainable Health Kit for COVID-19 Victims
Chulalongkorn University and Chulalongkorn University Alumni Association have nominated the “Home Isolation Platform Initiative – Klong Rod Tai” project, for the United Nations Public Service Awards (UNPSA) 2022 in the category of “Institutional Resilience and Innovative Responses to the COVID-19 Pandemic”.
With collaborative efforts from various networks and partners, the University has launched “Home Isolation Platform Initiative” to communicate with medical personnel and volunteers with the following four vital parts:
- Virtual ward: providing online medical care to monitor patients’ wellbeing and medical reconciliation,
- @Line application to offer psychosocial support to patients,
- E-Learning platform to offer video clips for knowledge sharing, and
- The referral system and data management to connect with local healthcare authorities for Emergency Medical Services.
It is genuinely believed that this initiative will efficiently help medical staff and volunteers take care of infected people across the country. In addition, the project will provide a comprehensive understanding of effective partnership and offers a successful Home Isolation Platform model for application in other countries and possibly other policy areas.
