A Meeting with the Representatives of Times Higher Education
On March 18, 2022, Chulalongkorn University, represented by Prof. Dr. Narin Hiransuthikul, Vice President for Strategic Monitoring and Assessment, Planning, Budgeting and Well-being, Prof. Dr. Chakkaphan Sutthirat, Vice President for Research Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Natcha Thawesaengskulthai, Vice President for Strategic Planning, Innovation and Global Engagement, together with Assistant to the Presidents, administrators and officers of the Office of International Affairs and Global Network and Chief Transformation and Strategic Office held a meeting with the representatives of Times Higher Education (THE), led by Ms. Simone Dilena, President (APAC) – THE and Mr. Todd Hornal, Regional Director (APAC) – THE.
During the meeting, both parties discussed the performance of Chula in the recent THE’s rankings. THE also provided some suggestions and guidelines on how Chula can improve its performance in THE’s Rankings, especially THE Impact Rankings, and on what Chula should do to transform itself to become a world-class university.
On this occasion, the Office of International Affairs and Global Network had the opportunity to interview the representatives of THE to learn from them the ideas and best practices of THE in the development of global universities and what THE could do to support universities in improving their world university rankings.
