A Courtesy Visit to the Ambassador of Thailand to Sweden
On April 27, 2022, Chulalongkorn University’s administrative team, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Natcha Thawesaengskulthai, Global Chief Innovation Officer; Asst. Prof. Dr. Sornnate Areesophonpichet, Assistant to the President for Strategy, Organizational Quality Assurance and World University Rankings and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pannee Cheewinsiriwat, Assistant to the President for Research Affairs, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Mrs. Kanchana Patarachoke, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Thailand to Sweden. On this occasion, the representatives of Chula, consisting of the members of the team that visited the Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm and those who joined the meeting through the zoom online platform, discussed with Ambassador Kanchana, Mr. Donrawee Waranon, the Counsellor and Mr. Sutthi Suteerasan, the Project Manager of the Thai – Nordic (Countries) Innovation Unit (TNIU), about the collaboration among the three parties, namely Chula, TNIU and the Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm to promote innovation development and connectivity between Thailand and Sweden.
At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Natcha gave a presentation on Chula’s current status of innovation development and its innovation ecosystem which should contribute to the collaboration with TNIU in promoting Chula start-ups in the Swedish market and vice versa. Chula and the Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm also shared their activity plans and available resources as well as discussed limitations in arranging the possible collaboration, from which at least one project is aimed to be realized by the end of 2022.
