The Meeting between the Representatives of the American University in Cairo, Egypt and Chulalongkorn University
On Monday 6th, June 2022, Chulalongkorn University (Chula), represented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nirada Chitrakara, Associate Dean for Internationalisation and Organisational Image Enhancement, Faculty of Arts; Dr. Apichart Pongkasem and Dr. Manop Adam, Arabic Section, Department of Eastern Languages, Faculty of Arts; Asst. Prof. Dr. Kasira Cheeppensook, Deputy Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of Political Science and Dr. Bhanubhatra Jittiang, Director of M.A. and Ph.D. Program in International Development Studies (MAIDS-GRID), Faculty of Political Science, had a meeting with the representatives of the American University in Cairo (AUC), led by Asst. Prof. Olivier Schouteden, Department of History, Asst. Prof. Emiko Stock, Department of Sociology, Egyptology and Anthropology and Ms. Dahlia El-Tayeb, Senior Director, International Programs. The meeting was facilitated by Mr. Itt Thirarath, Second Secretary, Royal Thai Embassy, Cairo.Â
During the meeting, the representatives of Chula and AUC shared similarities between the two institutions and discussed potential collaboration in various activities, both short-term and long-term, such as online lectures in areas of mutual interest, summer courses, establishing MOU for degree exchanges, etc. In addition, AUC also expressed an opinion that both sides can carry out online events by inviting guest lecturers, which can be initial activities between the two institutions.
