The Real World Challenge with OWN Academy

Early career platform OWN Academy is holding the Real World Challenge (RWC), a virtual case study competition that challenges students from the APAC region to solve the toughest business problems from Gobi Partners, DETERMINANT, and KPMG China on the metaverse.

To join this free event, university students and brilliant high school students should form a team with a maximum of four people or apply individually and get matched to a team. During the competition, students will be given a major case study that needs to be solved on the metaverse. They will need to put their heads together to develop out-of-the-box solutions that are viable, not just on paper, but in the real world. To help prepare them for the challenge, a problem-solving training will also be given at the beginning of the competition. Mentorship opportunities, cash prizes, and more are in store for those who emerge as winners of the challenges. The challenge schedule is as follows: 

Gobi Partners: July 13, 2022 The most interconnected Pan-Asian venture capital firm will present an investment case study to test the mettle of aspiring venture capitalists.

DETERMINANT: July 20, 2022 This Hong Kong-based fashion brand will present a marketing case study involving one of the most famous football clubs in the world.

KPMG China: July 26 – 28, 2022 Impress one of the Big Four by solving three different case studies on Tax, Audit, and Advisory.

Students can join as a team of four (max) or individually.
