[Invitation] S.A.G.A. Social Action, Global Advantage
Benilde School of Arts, Culture, and Performance – SACP, formerly known as “Benilde Arts and Culture Cluster {BACC)” of the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, Manila, Philippines is a coterie of programs that aspires to be a leader in creative education by instigating progressive, inclusive, and ethical artistic processes through its diverse humanities programs, geared towards innovation and inclusion. It is a home to the Arts Management, Dance, Design Foundation, Music Production, Production Design, and Theater Arts programs, which strive to produce a community of active agents and leaders of social change across the arts, culture, and creative industries. BACC puts primacy in student-centered, practice-based approaches to learning and instruction, immersing students in collaborations and meaningful engagements, to catalyze the arts, creativity, and innovation as a way of life.
They, alongside the Social Development Council of Benilde’s Lasallian Mission and Student Life, are excited to invite you to the event, “Social Action, Global Advantage {SAGA) – A Lasallian Dance Festival. This event aims to unite Lasallian institutions strewn across the globe to empower and uplift the Philippines affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, amplifying a worldwide Lasallian compassion and upliftment. The donation proceeds will go directly to Benildean Operation Sagip (Sagip, noun for “rescue”) a general fund of Benilde that addresses calamity responses to the nation’s call for risk assistance and management.
Driven by the Lasallian core values, the festival also advances a culture of innovation and inclusion by upholding hope, solidarity, and healing through the arts. The online festival will take place from September 15-17, 6:00 pm (GMT +8) via the Benilde School of Arts, Culture, and Performance ‘s YouTube channel.
They invite you to join as they venture into creating a community that propagates collective cooperation and action for healing and purposeful development. Your participation will inspire individuals towards social awareness, a proactive community empowered by La Sallian principles. Proceeds from donations will be transferred to Benilde’s Center for Social Action Fund and other beneficiaries.
