A Visit to Chulalongkorn University by the President of Republic of Chile
On Thursday, November 17th, 2022, H.E. Gabriel Boric Font, President of the Republic of Chile, visited Chulalongkorn University, in parallel to his attending the 2022 APEC meetings in Thailand. Upon his arrival, the honorable guest was warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr. Bundit Eua-arporn, President of Chulalongkorn University, Prof. Kaywalee Chatdarong, Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suradech Chotiudompant, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Chula administrators and the administrators of the Faculty of Arts.
After the welcoming ceremony, the President of Republic of Chile and Dr. Somjai Phagaphaswiwat, an expert in Latin American economics and politics, gave a talk entitled “Relations between Chile, Latin America and Asia: Future Perspectives“. They were also open to the audience’s opinions and questions at the Q&A Session.
Approximately 120 people attended this event, including the Ambassadors from Latin American countries, Chula administrators, professors from the Faculty of Arts and students from the Spanish Section (both alumni and current students).
