CTF Workshops
ASEAN Battle of Hackers (BOH) event is organized by the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) in Malaysia. The event is a Jeopardy-style CTF competition that is open to all foundation / undergraduate / diploma / master’s students from all universities and higher institutions in ASEAN countries.
To help prepare participants for the BOH event, APU’s Forensic & Cyber Security Research Center Student Section (FSEC-SS) is also conducting a series of CTF Workshops. These workshops are designed to provide beginner to advance level training to participants in various areas of Cyber Security and Forensic Computing.
The workshops by FSEC-SS are scheduled as follows:
· A Beginner’s Journey in CTF by Lik Ken & Jia Qi (FSEC-SS) on 18 March 2023 (Fee: USD5)
· A beginner guide to Penetration Testing 101 by Mohin (FSEC-SS) on 13 May 2023 (Fee: USD10)
· Introduction to Return Oriented Programming (ROP) by Spac3Cat (FSEC-SS) on 10 June 2023 (Fee: USD10)
· Reverse Engineering by Dr Syed Zainuddin (Industry instructor -DELL) on 7 October 2023 (Fee: USD10)
The ASEAN BOH event will take place on 25 November 2023 (Tentative) in a hybrid mode, with both physical and online competitions available. The registration fee is USD35 per group (3 members) for the physical competition and USD20 per group for the online competition.
