Participation in the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE 2023)
From March 13th-17th, 2023, the representatives of the Office of International Affairs and Global Network, led by Dr. Ram Piyaket, Director, participated in the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE 2023) at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok. This occasion provided the opportunity for the Chula delegation to build and strengthen partnerships with leading universities worldwide. The meetings aimed to expand collaborations and promote Chula’s internationalization and student mobility programs, in order to open the academic opportunity for Chula’s stakeholders.
The APAIE 2023 was hosted by Mahidol University, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, Chulalongkorn University, Thammarat University, Kasetsart University, Chiang Mai University, Prince of Songkla University, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi and King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang acting as co-hosts.
The conference theme of this year, ‘Towards a Sustainable Future for International Education in the Asia Pacific’ was meant to consider the future sustainability for all facets of international education which is in line with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing particularly on the Asia-Pacific region.
With over 2,661 participants from 67 countries and 369 exhibitors from 37 countries, the APAIE 2023 has been a resounding success. The event was a great opportunity for educators, administrators, and policymakers to network, share best practices, and discuss the latest trends and challenges facing international education.
