[Call for Applications] AUA “Climate x” Leadership Training Program
AUA “Climate x” Leadership Training Program is co-organized by AUA and Global Alliance of Universities on Climate (GAUC), “Climate x” Campaign 2023 aims to prepare the next generation to take the lead in climate actions while engaging broader multi-stakeholders with the endeavor, especially with the perspective of the synergy between climate change and all the other UN SDGs. The Campaign consists of 4 components: 1) “Climate x” Leadership Training Program, 2) Asian Regional Forum on Climate Change, 3) Global Youth Climate Week, and 4) High-Level Events during COP 28.
Now the “Climate x” Leadership Training Program 2023 is open for application. The program follows a “Train the Trainer” approach that consists of a ‘1+3’ Module structure. In July 2023, participants will dedicate about 5 hours per week to complete a series of self-paced online coursework and interactive Q&A sessions. From August to November, participants will be expected to organize 3 local climate-themed events that directly impact more than 100 people. Upon completion of the ‘1+3’ Module, participants will be awarded a certificate of completion and recognized as certified ‘Climate x’ Youth Trainer. Exceptional participants may also be honored with the title of Global Youth Ambassador, with the official announcement scheduled during COP 28.
