A Talk by the Chulalongkorn University President at
the 27th APRU Annual Presidents’ Meeting on Sustainable Future Solutions
From June 25th to June 27th, 2023, Professor Bundhit Eua-arporn, Ph.D., President of Chulalongkorn University; Associate Professor Voraprapa Nakavachara, Ph.D., Assistant Vice President for Global Engagement; and Dr. Ram Piyaket, Director of the Office of International Affairs and Global Network, participated in the 27th Annual Presidents’ Meeting of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). The meeting was held under the theme of “Solutions for a Sustainable Future: From Invention to Implementation“, to provide the opportunity for Presidents and senior administrators from the APRU member universities to share their thoughts on innovative solutions that will shape a sustainable future for humanity.
During the panel discussion, President Bundhit Eua-arporn delivered a talk in Session IV: Panel III – Educating Future Generations for Planet Thought Leadership. He shared his thoughts on how Chulalongkorn University has prepared students to take leadership roles in addressing planetary challenges and has equipped them with the mindset, knowledge, and skills to become change-makers after graduation. The panelists in Session IV also included the Presidents of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Nagoya University, Nanyang Technological University, the University of Southern California, and the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Auckland, respectively.
