Summer Cultural Xchange@UUM

Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) would like to invite Chulalongkorn University‘s students to participate in Summer Cultural Xchange@UUM, a short-term non-credited mobility programme designed to provide students with a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in Malaysia’s vibrant culture, diversity, rich heritage, and academic excellence.

Students will have the opportunity to interact with UUM’s faculty members, to collaborate with local students, and to explore various academic disciplines through specialised workshops and lectures. Moreover, students will discover Malaysia’s wonders through organised cultural visits, community engagement projects, and exciting social events.

The program will broaden students’ horizons and foster meaningful cross-cultural exchanges and lifelong friendships. The 14-day Summer Cultural Xchange@UUM is scheduled from 20 August to 2 September 2023, and students from all fields of study are invited to apply. In particular, UUM organises the following specialised programmes:

1.     Cultural Kaleidoscope: Discovering Malaysia’s Food, Craft, Dance, and Heritage
2.     Malaysia, Truly Asia: Discovering the Diversity of Law & Governance
3.     Paddy Production Sustainability and Agro’Edu-Tourism: Floating Crops and Aquaculture Farming
4.     Malaysian Gastronomy: Discovering Malaysia’s Multi-ethnic Palate
