SPAIN-THAILAND BILATERAL INNOVATION FORUM (Spotlight on Functional Foods and Valorisation of Agri-food Waste)

The Embassy of Spain in Bangkok, Thailand and CDTI-Ministry of Science and Innovation, Spain are delighted to invite you to participate at this SPAIN-THAILAND bilateral innovation and technology  forum. The event is organized in partnership with Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Innovation, Thailand and Program Management Unit for Competitiveness (PMUC), Thailand.

Its main objective is to promote collaborative research, innovation cooperation, new tech-based and business partnership opportunities between Thai and Spanish stakeholders, across the R&D spectrum.

The event will provide a dialogue and networking platform between Thailand and Spain promoting exchange on technological trends across the food value chain, in order to make it healthier and more sustainable. Additionally, useful information will be shared on the bilateral funding scheme (TLSIP – Thailand & Spain Innovating Program) jointly implemented by CDTI (Spain) and Program Management Unit for Competitiveness (PMUC) (Thailand) promoting and funding innovation-driven R&D cooperation between Spanish and Thai companies and other R&D-performing organizations.

The event will be inaugurated by H.E. Felipe de la Morena, Ambassador of Spain to Thailand and a distinguished dignitary from MHESI (tbc).

A 8-member delegation from Spain with specific capabilities and expertise in functional foods and valorization of agri-food waste, will participate at the event, share on their R&D priorities and pitch in their leads for cooperation and partnership with Thailand.

Researchers, technologists, intermediary STI agents attending the event would also have the opportunity to request for meetings with the members of the Spanish delegation 15:00 to 17:00 at China Hall, 2nd Floor, Athenee Hotel). To this end, fill the registration form registering your interest, by choosing a maximum of 3 companies/research centres.
