The OeAD, Austria’s Agency for Education and Internationalisation is pleased to announce that the academic year 2024/25 scholarships will be available for foreign students, graduates and scientists. Detailed information of scholarships can be found on www.grants.at, the Austrian database for scholarships and research grants. 

The scholarships are provided by the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research and many other institutions. 
The following scholarship programmes could be of particular interest to you.

  • Franz Werfel Scholarship
    Target countries: worldwide 
    Franz Werfel Grant is intended for persons with above-average qualifications, preferably with teaching experience and employment at a university, who focus on Austrian literature. 
  • Ernst Mach Scholarship worldwide
    Target countries: worldwide
    The Ernst Mach Grant – worldwide invites applications from Ph.D. students, postgraduates, postdocs and young lecturers from universities outside of Austria. 
  • Ernst Mach Scholarship to study at an Austrian university of applied sciences
    Target countries: non-European countries (and Ukraine)
  • Ernst Mach Scholarship ASEA UNINET
    Target countries: Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam
