Summer 2024 “Kansai University” Intensive Japanese Language and Culture Course (IJLC)
Course Period:
Summer 1 : Tuesday, June 4, 2024 – Thursday, June 27, 2024 (24 days)
Summer 2 : Tuesday, July 2, 2024 – Friday, July 26, 2024 (25 days)
Application Period:
Summer 1 : Friday, March 15, 2024 Strict to the deadline
Summer 2 : Friday, April 12, 2024 Strict to the deadline
Course Fees: The fees depend on the type of accommodation.
Eligible Participants:
Students who have foreign nationality and are enrolled in a college or university, or those who have graduated from college or university within one year of starting the course.
Qualification for Application:
Students who have the following Japanese language ability and “have studied Japanese language for at least 50 hours“ at the time of application.
・Ability to read and write Hiragana and Katakana
・Ability to type in Japanese language
・Ability to give a simple self-introduction
・Ability to explain one’s daily schedule
Or, students who have higher Japanese language ability than above
Please be aware that if you do not meet these qualifications for application, you will not be able to apply.
* Ability to introduce yourself in as much detail as possible, not just name but also hobbies etc.
* The language used in class is Japanese only.
Course Contents:
Japanese language classes, Japanese culture experience, field trip and interaction with Kansai University students
*The contents of Japanese culture experience and field trip are subject to change.
*Kansai University Students as conversation partners will support the conversation and discussion in classes.
*There are many opportunities to talk with Kansai University students, and a variety of classes are offered, including Japanese for Daily Situations, Japanese Studies, Traditional Japanese Culture, Academic Japanese, and more.
