Chulalongkorn University’s participation in the Go Study Thailand Siem Reap Education Fair 2024 in Cambodia
On May 25th, 2024, Chulalongkorn University, represented by Ms. Sukalin Wanakasemsan, the Director of Global Academic Affairs Division, along with staff from the Office of International Affairs and Global Network, participated in the Go Study Thailand Siem Reap Education Fair 2024 at the Sokha Siem Reap Convention Center in Cambodia. They were joined by representatives from eight leading universities in Thailand, namely: Asian Institute of Hospitality Management (AIHM), Chiang Mai University (CMU), Dhurakij Pundit University (DPU), Dusit Thani College (DTC), Kasetsart University (KU), Mahasarakarm University (MSU), Sripatum University (SPU) and Stamford International University (STIU).
Organized by Go Study Thailand, the Education Fair was held for the first time in Siem Reap and was honorably inaugurated by Ms. Sirithon Wairatpanij, Minister Counsellor of the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh, and Mr. Jittawat Wijitthaworn, Second Secretary and Consul of the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh, who gave a presentation about the Thai visa application process and procedures during the opening ceremony of the event.
The education fair aims to provide Cambodian high school students interested in pursuing their undergraduate studies in Thailand an opportunity to meet with professional university representatives and gain valuable information and guidance regarding university admission, scholarships, campus life, and more, to assist them in their future educational decisions. The event attracted significant interest from Cambodian students, with around 200 students registering at the exhibition and about 400 students pre-registering through the online form.
