[Call for Applications] APRU Multi-Hazards 2024 Summer School
Attention Chulalongkorn University Students and Young Researchers
We are thrilled to announce that students and young researchers from Chulalongkorn University who are interested in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) have an exciting opportunity to participate in the APRU Multi-Hazards 2024 Summer School. This prestigious event will be hosted by Tohoku University in Japan from July 30 to August 2, 2024.
About the Multi-Hazards Summer School
Organized by the International Research Institute of Disaster Science (IRIDeS) at Tohoku University, the Multi-Hazards Summer School features a comprehensive 3-day seminar followed by a site visit to areas affected by the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. This program aims to provide participants with a deep understanding of international DRR strategies and insights into disaster science research from around the world.
Objectives of the 2024 Summer School
Participants will gain valuable knowledge on:
- The mechanisms of international DRR strategies
- Disaster science research conducted in various countries
- Practical approaches to disaster risk management
Participation Details
- Registration Fee: None (Participants need to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses)
- Event Date: July 30 – August 2, 2024
