AUN-Thailand Summer Camp [CU x MU] Opening Ceremony
Chulalongkorn University proudly organized the opening ceremony of the AUN-Thailand Summer Camp 2024 on July 1st, 2024, at Room 801, Chaloem Rajakumari 60 Building.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Palanee Ammaranond, Acting Vice President of Chulalongkorn University, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication at Mahidol University, attended and delivered presided over the event and delivered welcoming and opening remarks. The ceremony also featured a video message from Dr. Choltis Dhirathiti, AUN Executive Director.
Dr. Ram Piyaket, Director of the Office of International Affairs and Global Network at Chulalongkorn University, introduced the summer camp to the participants. The program briefing and project assignment were conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kanis Saengchote from Chulalongkorn University and Dr. Wimonsiri Hemtanon from Mahidol University. Mr. Tayud Mongkolrat, Senior Project Officer at the Thailand Foundation, provided an introduction to Thailand.

The AUN-Thailand Summer Camp, hosted by Chulalongkorn University and Mahidol University, is a new initiative under the ASEAN University Network, designed to promote cultural exchange, academic collaboration, and regional integration among member universities. Ninety-seven young and talented students from 26 universities in ten Southeast Asian countries are participating in the two-week program held in Bangkok and Nakhon Pathom, Thailand. The camp offers a platform for the students to engage in diverse activities, workshops, and seminars under the theme “Beyond Borders, Better Health: Medical Tourism in Thailand.”
