Asia-Pacific Youth Development Forum (APYDF) 2024

As a convening partner, we are excited to announce an exclusive opportunity for up to 50 Chula students to participate in the Asia-Pacific Youth Development Forum (APYDF) 2024: Dialogue on Youth Innovation for Green Transition which will be held on October 15, 2024, under the theme “Building Sustainable Cities and Resilient Food Systems”.

The program brings youths from the Asia-Pacific region to present their vision, recommendations, and solutions to advance green employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for a sustainable environment and climate-safe future.

The event is hosted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), All-China Youth Federation (ACYF), the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security – Department of Children and Youth in Thailand, and the World Youth Development Forum (WYDF) Secretariat, in partnership with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Chulalongkorn University, and the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF).

Steps for participation:

  1. It is a hybrid event with in-person participation by invitation only and virtual participation open to all.
  2. To be considered for the in-person participation, students need to participate in the #Movers4Climate Festival, a 3-in-1 virtual event from September 20 to October 12, 2024. This provides an opportunity to attend climate education workshops, connect with changemakers across the Asia-Pacific, enhance your green jobs readiness, and share your voice, concerns and hopes on climate action.

  3. The APYDF Organizing Committee will select up to 50 Chula students to join the event in-person on October 15, 2024, based on your active participation and attendance at the #Movers4Climate Festival. Notification will be made by October 1, 2024, by email.
  4. All students, including those who are not selected for the in-person participation are welcome to join the APYDF 2024: Dialogue on Youth Innovation for Green Transition virtually by registering through: https://undp.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_mrpwQdYzRLWp_2m3PU29nw#/registration.
