Chulalongkorn University and University of Technology Sydney Exploring Opportunities for Broader Academic and Research Cooperation
On 17 February 2025, representatives from Chulalongkorn University and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) met to discuss the details of their collaborative research degree program and explore opportunities for broader academic and research cooperation in health sciences. The meeting took place at Meeting Room 1801, 18th Floor, Chaloem Rajakumari 60 Building.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Angela Dawson, Ph.D., Associate Dean for Research from the Faculty of Health at UTS, along with representatives from Chulalongkorn University, including Prof. Chitlada Areesantichai, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Public Health Sciences; Assoc. Prof. Parit Mekaroonkamol, M.D., Assistant Dean for International Affairs from the Faculty of Medicine; Asst. Prof. Sakuntala Anuruang, Ph.D., Assistant Dean from the Faculty of Nursing; and Assoc. Prof. Viroj Boonyaratanakornkit, MT, Ph.D., Head of the Department of Clinical Chemistry and Director of the Clinical Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine Program from the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences.
The discussion centered on the framework of the existing doctoral collaboration and the exploration of opportunities to expand research partnerships across various health-related disciplines. Both institutions expressed interest in advancing research initiatives to address critical challenges in health sciences.
