[Call for Applications] National Chung Hsing University: New Southbound Policy Elite Study Program 2025
The New Southbound Policy Elite Study Program is the exclusive scholarship and exchange initiative sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Taiwan, Republic of China, with the aim of inspiring outstanding young talents from esteemed universities in Southeast Asia to explore Taiwan.
National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) is the fifth university to implement this program. This year, focusing on the themes of sustainability and global warming, NCHU plans to recruit students from partner universities in the New Southbound countries.

Eligible Participants | -Be citizen of ASEAN countries or India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Australia, or New Zealand -Currently studying in third year or fourth year, or Master’s Degree at Chulalongkorn University -Regardless of background, possess an interest in the field of sustainability |
Program Structure | -10-12 hours Core Courses (5 hours Sustainability related courses per week) -6 hours Mandarin Courses per week -Various Culture Activities |
Scholarship | -NTD 10,000 Monthly Stipend -Round-Trip Economy-Class Flight (up to NTD 25,000) -On-Campus Housing -Program Activities |
Required Documents | -Official Certificate of Student Status -Official Academic Transcript -Plan of Study (maximum 1 page) -Most updated Autobiography or CV -Certificate of Proficiency in English (Minimum requirement for English ability -CEFR B2) -TOEFL itp 543/ibt 72 -IELTS 5.5 -TOEIC 785 |
