[Call for Applications] 2025 International Program in Semiconductor Summer School at NCHU
Program Duration: August 11 – August 22, 2025 (2 weeks)
Location: Applied Science & Technology Building, National Chung Hsing University (NCHU), Taiwan
Overview:
The 2-Week International School of Semiconductor offers an immersive experience for students and professionals to gain a comprehensive understanding of semiconductor technology. From circuit design to manufacturing, packaging, and inspection, participants will learn theoretical concepts and acquire hands-on skills through intensive lectures, laboratory sessions, and cultural exchange activities.
Focus Areas:
1. Circuit Design Fundamentals
2. Semiconductor Manufacturing Processes
3. Packaging and Testing Techniques
4. Advanced Inspection Methods using cutting-edge tools (e.g., SEM, AFM)
5. Future Technologies and Green Initiatives
Audience: International students and professionals with an interest in semiconductor technology and applications.
Location: iCAST Labs, National Chung Hsing University (NCHU), Taiwan
Eligibility:
- Current junior/senior undergraduate or graduate students in science and engineering fields.
- Limited to 15 participants.
Scholarship:
Partial scholarships are available for eligible participants.
Each student may receive a tuition waiver(NT$10,000), Accommodation subsidy: up to NTD 10,000, applicable only for students staying in NCHU dormitories from August 10 to 23, 2025. Students who choose to arrange their own lodging will need to cover those costs independently.
Flight subsidy: up to NTD 15,000.
Self-Funded Expenses:
- Tuition Fee:NT$10,000
- Accommodation Fee:NT$ 10,000(The on-campus accommodation fee)
- Other Costs:Airfare, visa, travel insurance, meals, and other personal expenses
Application Requirements:
- Completed application form.
- Letter certifying student’s enrollment at their home university.
- Proof of English proficiency: TOEIC score of 600 or above (or equivalent certification).
Application Process:
Submit all required documents as a single PDF file to icast@dragon.nchu.edu.tw by May 15, 2025.
Key Dates:

Notification of Results: June 1, 2025
Additional Information
- The program will be conducted entirely in English. Participants must have an English proficiency level of TOEIC 600 or above.
