APRU 2025 Student Buddies Recruitment
The  APRU SDG Education for Global Citizenship (APRU SDG4GC) is an intercultural, transdisciplinary, and interactive program that fosters global citizenship among students from 61 universities in 18 economies across the Pacific Rim. Co-designed by several core-partner universities in collaboration with the United Nations (UN), the program builds knowledge of global issues and global literacy among students. This is achieved through learning about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), exploring in-depth some of the world’s biggest challenges, and proposing solutions using a framework for collaborative development of social innovation prototypes.
Chulalongkorn University will soon welcome 40 international students from universities across the globe. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants, we are currently seeking enthusiastic student buddies to join us to support and accompany the international throughout the on-site program to engage in cultural exchange, build international friendships, and develop your communication and leadership skills. The buddies will help welcome participants, assist with activities, and provide friendly support during their stay in Thailand.

Requirements:
- Full time Chula students (undergraduate or graduate students)
- Good communication skills in both English and Thai
- Readiness to be an active supporter of the program students from different cultural, ethnic, disciplinary, and institutional backgrounds and with readiness to learn from each other
- To be able to fully commit to the responsibilities during the program period including staying overnight in Saraburi province
Responsibilities:
- Accompany and assist participants throughout the program
- Provide guidance and support to participants when needed
- Help coordinate transportation and travel logistics
- Communicate important updates and information to participants
- Assist in solving problems or handling unexpected situations
- Support organizers in facilitating smooth program operations
- Serve as a friendly and reliable point of contact for participants
- Encourage engagement and help create a welcoming environment
As a student buddy, you will be joining activities including the below:
- You will get to know the students of diverse backgrounds from the Asia Pacific
- You will be joining activities including the below:
– UN Global Seminar
– Engagement with civil society (Duang Prateep Foundation, Labour Protection Network Foundation, etc.) and community leaders, etc.
– Workshops at Center for Learning Network for the Region in Saraburi - Accommodation and food costs during the activities
- Receive UN Global Seminar certificate of participation (jointly issued by UNESCAP, Chula and Microsoft)
- Allowance in accordance with Chula regulations
